UK Closes its Lone Cadillac Store

Tough go...

A proper European expansion is on the luxury automaker’s cards, but is still a long way out. Mitch Millett, managing director of Bauer Millett, said similar American dealerships to his are also having trouble surviving in the competitive British auto market.

A little bit of a sad story. Having dealerships close now won't make it any easier to enter the European market in the near future, as is the plan. American cars generally don't do that well in Europe though. Its not just a Cadillac problem. Most of the American brands that do well there operate under a different brand name for Europe. Opel for example is Chevy/Buick.
